The port of Arguineguín is proud of its rich fishing heritage but has moved with the times to become a first-choice place to live and visit, with great beaches, a marina and a buzzing social scene. It is the main town in the municipality of Mogán.

Arguineguín has an attractive mix of permanent residents from the island and seasonal residents, who love to come here and escape the cold European winter. There is a particularly large Norwegian community, served by a Norwegian club, Norwegian Church and Norwegian College.

Apart from its lovely beaches, Arguineguín offers a range of cafes, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes, including fish, meat, Italian and Chinese. There are large supermarkets and two shopping centres in town, and the Mogán Mall in just a 10-minute drive away in Puerto Rico.
