The GC 500 coast road between the Whale Tail roundabout at Arguineguín and the Patalavaca roundabout is now closed due to work on the roadside walkway.
This, combined with the closure of the GC 500 between Puerto de Mogán and Taurito (due to a rockfall), means that it is best to use the motorway whenever possible.
The bus routes between Arguinguín and Puerto Rico have changed while the work is ongoing but the timetable remains the same.
If you travel west to get to Puerto Rico, Playa del Cura, Taurito or Mogán by bus, you now have to go to Arguineguín first (Global are offering this connection for free provided that you tell the driver where you are headed). However, the bus stops in this direction at Patalavaca, Barranco de La Verga, Balito and Sunwing are currently closed.
Heading east from Puerto Rico to Arguineguín, the buses divert along Avenida de Los Guaires at Patalavaca but will visit all the normal stops.
The road is expected to reopen by the end of March 2018.
